Tracey Sparks

Tracey brings extensive experience working with not-for-profits sectors. Tracey has worked for the Queensland Health Promotion Officer for the Continence Foundation of Australia for 6 years and a Project Officer with The Stroke Foundation for 2 years.

Tracey has over 3 years’ experience within the disability sector and worked as a LAC in Brisbane. We are proud to be working with ThumbsUpSC manager Tracey Sparks. Tracey is passionate about empowering people with a disability to live their lives the way they choose. Tracey’s strives to help others reach their sense of purpose and achievement by developing roles in their lives they didn’t think were possible and being a positive and reliable mentor.

Tracey is the Co-Secretary for SCDA Mavericks Dragon Boat Club and enjoy paddling at competitive regattas throughout Australia and the World. I am also Breast Cancer survivor and we have a team that competes at regattas. She most recently won the 200m BCS race at the Burleigh Fire Dragons Regatta on the Gold Coast and will be competing in the International Breast Cancer Participatory Festival (IBCPC) in New Zealand in 2023.

Liza

Liza has a range of professional experiences in the disability sector, with four years’ experience as a special education teacher in the Northern Territory, teaching primary aged students in both mainstream and special school settings. Liza has spent four years as a trainer in a day service for adults with a disabilities, accessing social enterprises as well as building independence in daily living skills and community access. More recently, Liza has supported families in accessing NDIS as an ECEI planner.

I am excited to be part of the Thumbs Up Support Coordination team, so I can further support participants and their families to understand the NDIS and get the best out of their plans.
